Natural wood protection ? non-classified toxicity (DIN 53160/ EN 71) Properties: Coloured PNZ-AUSSENÖL (PNZ-EXTERIOR-OIL) is manufactured according to a centuries old recipe and is used for exterior timbers for protection against extreme climatic conditions as a result of its non-film forming surface and excellent deep impregnation. In contrast to layer-forming coating systems, this ecologically safe material, PNZ-AUSSENÖL, sets in the capillaries of the wood like a naturally protecting bark and forms a strongly water repellent weather and UV-proof surface, which is very slow to decay as well as generally preventing swelling, shrinking and cracking. Areas of use: To protect and enhance domestic and exotic timbers in new or restorative applications, fascia boards, windows, shutters, doors, garden sheds, garage doors, trelliswork, garden furniture, balconies, fences, wooden toys, tongue and groove boards. To protect against blue mould and rot, we recommend pretreatment with PNZ Impregnation Primer. Usage: Apply coloured PNZ-AUSSENÖL to all sides by brush, with a spray or dipping technique onto clean, dry frost-free wood. Spread evenly with a nearly dry brush after approx. 5 ? 10 min. drying time. A second or possibly third treatment of the visible area is to be undertaken as described after a drying time of at least 12 hours. Wood moisture not above 18%. Remove all oil paints, thick layer systems, and all pore-closing old coats by sanding, stripping or burning. The surface must be sound, porous, clean and free of dust. Clean open-pored coats, sanding if required. Apply coats as previously described. In order to achieve greater durability and frictional stability, we recommend PNZ-AUSSENÖL Natural as a final coat following application of pigmented PNZ-AUSSENÖL. Application temperature should be above 8°C. It has different effects on different surfaces. Trial coats are therefore essential. Coverage: 1 litre for approx. 15 m2 for the first coat, dependent of the wood type and surface (rough sawn or planed wood). Storage: Cool, but frost-free. Ensure can is well closed. Cleaning: Clean tools with soapy water or PNZ Special Thinner. Colours: See colour chart: No. 1 Natural (not only for exteriors), No. 2 Opal white, No. 3 Larch, No. 4 Cherry tree / horse chestnut, No. 5 Cembra / pine, No. 6 Oak / olive. All colours may be mixed with each other. Note: When using several containers with different lot numbers, they should be mixed together in a large container! Contents: Purified natural oils, such as linseed, sunflower oil, oilseed rape from controlled Bavarian cultivation, safflower oil, tree resin, cembra oil, isoaliphates, calcium soap, cobalt soap, iron oxide pigments and titanium white. Odourless after drying. Contains no toxic substances. Container sizes: 0.75 litres, 2.5 litres, 10 litres, 30 litres and larger.
